Comment: Dear Writers:

Loudoun County Public Library would like to invite you to participate in our first annual short story contest for adults ages 19 and up. Write On! is currently accepting entries, and we would love to have yours.
Through August 11th, you can enter a short story of 2,500 words or less in any genre you choose. Cash prizes will be awarded!

You can find the submission guidelines, as well as FAQs, writing websites, and writing apps on the library’s own website, library.loudoun.gov/writeon. You can also find out the remaining dates of writing workshops taking place at the different branches… that is, if you have not already taken advantage of these free classes!

We are very excited for the finale of the contest, which will take place at Rust Library in Leesburg on September 14th , 2014, 2:00 pm, and will feature Carla Buckley, author of The Deepest Secret, Invisible : A Novel, and The Things That Keep Us Here.

Please contact any one of our eight branches if you have any questions about Write On!

Thank you for your attention and we hope to be reading your entry soon!
